The Loeries Official Rankings 2024 aim to provide a snapshot of the top-performing agencies, brands and individuals across Africa and the Middle East in the brand communications industry.
Compiled from the cumulative scores of awarded entries at the 2024 Loerie Awards, the rankings reflect a broad range of disciplines and showcase the innovative work shaping the region’s creative landscape. By highlighting key contributors in marketing, advertising, and communications, the rankings serve as a benchmark for excellence in the industry.
“The Loeries Rankings is the definitive guide to the people and companies who are doing the work that creates brand value across Africa and the Middle East,” highlights Loeries CEO, Preetesh Sewraj. “The rankings are the culmination of a year’s worth of research into the industry and is a valuable source of insights for anyone in the brand communications industry,” he said.
The rankings are grouped into several categories that aim to recognise talent and innovation within the industry. The following includes highlights specific to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
In the Ranking by Brand – MENA category, NBA took the top spot in 2024, followed by Annahar Newspaper in second with Saudia Airlines placed in third.
Protype and Samsung tied for fourth place. The rankings list Omantel in sixth place, followed by Adidas in seventh, Home Centre in eighth, the General Entertainment Authority in ninth, and BMW rounding out the top ten.
NBA also placed first in the Ranking by Brand – Africa and Middle East and Annahar Newspaper ranked fourth.
Amongst the agencies in the MENA region, Leo Burnett Dubai secured the top spot, followed by Impact BBDO in second place and Saatchi & Saatchi ME in third. Havas Middle East ranked fourth, with FP7 McCann Dubai completing the top five. Sixth place went to Leo Burnett KSA, while Bigtime Creative Shop ranked seventh. Serviceplan Group Middle East came in eighth, Cheil Worldwide Dubai took ninth, and Impact BBDO Cairo rounded out the top ten.
Across both the Middle East and Africa, two independent agencies in the region placed in the top 10. Serviceplan Middle East secured the fifth spot in the ranking and M&C Saatchi UAE ranked eighth.
In the Regional Agency Group category, Publicis Groupe ranked number one. Impact BBDO placed fifth in the ranking and Havas Middle East placed seventh, amounting to a total of three regional agency groups in the top ten list across Africa and the Middle East.
Finally, in the Ranking by Agency – Africa and The Middle East, Leo Burnett Dubai ranked in second place, Impact BBDO ranked fifth and Saatchi & Saatchi ME rounded out the top ten.
Through these rankings, The Loeries hopes to promote and support creativity by helping marketers, agencies and consumers appreciate the value of ideas and fresh thinking.
